Panterah – Video Release for “Discover”

Anticipated Reveal From Panterah

Released on July 1st, 2022, “Discover” is the first and much-awaited release from Panterah. Formerly known as Fee Lion, the musician announced during the pandemic that they were undergoing not just a name change, but taking on a new artistic identity entirely that would be accompanied by a shift in sound.

Curiosity was rife as to what this new embodiment would entail. And after a brief hiatus and gestation period, the wait is over as the Chicago-based performer unveils the first single and corresponding music video from this chapter of her career.

Discover

Clad in latex, Panterah delivers a demanding, phenomenological number. Building off of previous work, she steps into a more alternative/industrial tone and takes things up a notch.

Charged cadence reverberates over pulsed drum machine and distorted, down-tuned guitar. What, on one hand, feels like a hushed internal emanation is, on exhale, authoritatively bold and commanding of attention. There is great interplay between an encompassing and hazy, fully-body atmosphere and sharp simplicity in writing, fed through masterful and polished sound production.
